Called to the Campus - Eric & Beth Gambardella
We have been blessed to work as Campus Staff with InterVarsity at CNU since 2006
Graduates of CNU ourselves, we were students in InterVarsity at CNU from 2001-2005. God used InterVarsity to teach us about having a personal relationship with Him, finding Truth in his Word, and finding grace in response to our sin. Our lives were radically changed. |
We got involved in the InterVarsity community as freshmen and went on to serve as student leaders. This gave us valuable experience leading small groups, running Bible Studies, leading with the worship team, coordinating events and discipling other students. Camps, retreats, and national conferences like Urbana were instrumental in shaping us into maturing Christians who sought to serve the Lord in every part of our lives. Senior year of college we felt the Lord calling us to full time, vocational campus ministry, and applied to become InterVarsity staff.
After being hired by InterVarsity in the Blue Ridge region, we were married in 2005 and moved to Harrisonburg where Eric completed the InterVarsity training program at James Madison University. In 2006, we received a long-term placement at CNU and moved back to Newport News. Soon after, Beth finished her staff training at The College of William & Mary. In 2011, we were blessed by the birth of our son, Julian. In 2016 God gave us our daughter, Faith.
Over the years we have thoroughly enjoyed serving the Lord and the students at our alma mater. What amazing transformation we have seen - both in the students' lives and in the campus, itself. Needless to say, we have a deep love for CNU and desire to serve here for years to come. We love our job - which is so much more than a job. It is an immense blessing to be able to minister to students on this campus and watch God grow His glory at CNU year after year! |
